{"id":6281,"date":"2013-10-28T12:27:27","date_gmt":"2013-10-28T11:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/transparency.vdevs.eu\/about-us\/who-we-are\/"},"modified":"2025-10-14T09:19:18","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T07:19:18","slug":"who-we-are","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/transparency.vdevs.eu\/en\/about-us-details\/who-we-are-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Who we are"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Corruption is one of the biggest problems of our time and of modern society in general.&nbsp;<\/strong>Combating corruption is only possible with the participation of democratic institutions, the private business sector and civil society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Transparency international Croatia&nbsp;<\/strong>(hereinafter TIC) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the increase of accountability and prevention of national corruption. It is the non-profit and impartial association of which activities are aimed at suppressing corruption and its consequences.&nbsp;TIC&nbsp;neither discloses nor investigates individual cases of corruption. We believe that is the duty of the legislative and executive bodies, independent judiciary and the free press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Corruption is a challenge to all. There is no country in which it doesn&#8217;t exist and there should be no country that doesn&#8217;t fight it. There must not be a government that indulges it!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The main goal of TIC is the fight against corruption in all its forms.&nbsp;<\/strong>Our&nbsp;programme is closely related to the Government&#8217;s strategic objectives (National strategy of the fight against the corruption, Ministry of Internal Affairs: Anti-Money Laundering Office, Institue of Public Finance \u2013 the grey market project, Public Administration Reform&#8230;), and is also complemented with the duties of the Republic of Croatia which derive from the Stability Pact and the European Union Treaties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transparency International Croatia is committed to these values:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022<strong>&nbsp;transparency<br>\u2022&nbsp;responsibility<br>\u2022&nbsp;honesty<br>\u2022&nbsp;solidarity<br>\u2022 courage<br>\u2022&nbsp;justice<br>\u2022&nbsp;democracy<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Corruption is one of the biggest problems of our time and of modern society in general.&nbsp;Combating corruption is only possible with the participation of democratic institutions, the private business sector and civil society.
